Beach near Ann Arbor?

Due to work it is likely that I will be traveling to the Ann Arbor, MI, area next summer. I have never been to the Great Lakes region and as such I would really like to visit a great lake while I am there.
Due to work it is likely that I will be traveling to the Ann Arbor, MI, area next summer. I have never been to the Great Lakes region and as such I would really like to visit a great lake while I am there.
I am familiar with the beach towns on the Eastern coast of the USA, most of which are cozy and tightly knit towns. Are there any such towns on the great lakes? Is there anywhere near Ann Arbor that I could visit to relax and enjoy the great lake?
